Playing by the wall.

A game inside the game. Some teams like it playing by the wall some don’t like it at all.
Some people don’t like it because the wall makes it impossible to go that side away. A limitation on the movements. Other like it because the now that from that side now body will attack them to steal the puck.

TO begin.
Playing by the wall
When first defend the puck to the corner and after that you want to break out.

And after that the next step
Forming a chain by the wall.

But because the wall its also possible that the other team can easily block you by the wall. So skills and tactics are necessary when playing by the wall. On simple power play by the wall it’s the strongest that will win. When you have the skills and tactics in your team to avoid power play by the wall it’s a strong way to play. Its simple with 1 or 2 other players to prevent the opponent to break away from the wall to the open. Most team that play on simple speed in swimming don’t want the puck by the wall. SO they will do anything to get the puck away from the wall. But it is an option for skillfully but slower teams. To prevent the faster teams to use there speed to go around you. Its also the way to play by the "highway"tactic.

Stealing the puck by the wall:

Loosing the puck by the wall after a turn

Block and breakout by the wall.

Ways to play by the wall.
1.Swimm and turn when nearby an interception and give the puck to another player that will go on.(make a chain)
2.Swimm and flick the puck forwards when almost been intercepted. And swim after that flick. And/or have another player there to recieve the puck and swimm forwards with it.
3.When there is a frontal block. Go sideways and flick/pass the puck back to the wall for another player to receive.
But when the frontal opponent do not react. Just swim passed him. And go back to the wall after that.
4.Or pass the puck sideways to a player from your own team and let him swim passed the opponent and go back to the wall.
5.When a block stick to puck to stick you can do the shuffle block turn-flick and then swimm.

Some Way to keep the puck when almost been frontal been blockt by the wall.
Absorb the block or move just before the block and move sideways/forward to get passed the opponent.

The other way.(wall on the other side)

Some diagrams from wall tacticks
TO trick the opponent away from the wall by swimming/flicking away from the wal and then flick/swim back to the wall.

When there is a sideline and not a wall the play will be different.
Then its impossible like in the open field to successful block and lock the puck. Often don by the Wall.
So then its really important to use skills/ and some tactics’ to keep the movement/speed in the game. and to prevent that the puck goes outside the playing field. But you can use the tactics that are shown by the wall-play. Only put some more skill by it like u can use in the open playing field.
